| Location: | Hostel Apartments Strahov B8 is situated near the city centre. The hostel is on the Petrin Hill with the great view of Prague. On the Petrin Hill you can find there the labyrinth, famous Petrin lookout and the planetarium. From the hostel there is a good connection by bus to the metro (station "Karlovo Namesti" or "Dejvicka"). If you like to see Prague Castle you will just walk about 15 minutes through Petrin park from the hostel. |
| Rooms: | The building of the block 8 was rebuilt in year 2002 and now you can stay in nice 2 bedrooms apartments - always 2 double rooms share 1 bathroom. You can book the whole apartment for 2-4 persons or you can book just one of the rooms and you will share the bathroom with the second room in the apartment. Each apartments has private bathroom with shower and kitchenette. |
| Services: | The reception is opened non stop and you will find it in block 1. There is no curfew at the hostel. You can use the copy centre or exchange office which is situated near the reception and also the snack bar. In the area of the student campus you can find pubs, some restaurants and lot of possibilities to do some sport. There is a court for beachvolleyball, also the tennis courts and little football courts. Next to the hostel is a Strahov football stadium, where you can go also swimming or playing squash. |
| Restaurant: | If you want to get some meal you can use the restaurant which is open the whole year, every day 11:00 - 21:00. |
| Parking: | You can park in front of the hostel. This parking is non-guarded so it is free of charge. Or you can use the parking in the near hotel Pyramida (cca 700 metres). It costs 300,-CZK per day. |
| Breakfast: | Breakfast costs 80,-CZK per person and is served in the Menza restaurant. |
| Note: | From the Petrin Hill you can use the funicular to go to the down town. It quite impressive. There are 149 and 217 buses going to "Dejvicka" metro station or 176 bus going to "Karlovo namesti" metro station.
The hostel Strahov block 8 is only the summer hostel. |
